FELTING

FELTING

Living in Northumberland and having access to fleece from a variety of sheep I find felting wool is a very creative way of using a by-product of sheep.

For softer garments merino wool gives a better result than many of our local breeds.

By layering fleece tops in different direction, adding hot water, soap and elbow grease a fabric is created which is one of the oldest fabrics on the planet.
